A disturbing case out of Botswana has sent shockwaves across the region, after two women were accused of killing a man they were both secretly dating.
The suspects, Gaokgakala Tlotleng (46) and Rosinah Banoge (44), are facing murder charges following the death of 61-year-old Kagiso Phang Lesetedi.
According to reports, the two women allegedly discovered they were both in a relationship with the same man—sparking a chain of events that investigators believe ended in a calculated act of poisoning.
Authorities say the victim’s food was laced with toxic chemicals, reportedly taken from Smart Funeral Homes, where Lesetedi worked as a driver. One of the accused, Banoge, was also employed at the same company, raising serious concerns about how the substances were obtained.
The case has gripped communities not only in Botswana, but across Southern Africa, highlighting the deadly consequences that can arise from jealousy, betrayal, and unresolved conflict in relationships.
The two women have been in custody since their arrest in January and were recently denied bail at the Molepolole Magistrates Court.
They are expected back in court on 26 May, where the case will continue.
